The Jaguars 2025 opponents have been announced and here are some takeaways. They will play the AFC and NFC west, as well as two 4th place teams in the New York Jets and Carolina Panthers, with the 17th game being the Cincinatti Bengals. While the games are played on the field not on paper, the Jaguars schedule does not appear to be a daunting one, especially compared to the 2024 season, where the team faced some of the top teams including the entire NFC North, the Bills, Dolphins, and to a lesser extent, the Texans.
Jacksonville is set to face only 4 playoff teams from the previous year, 3 less than the 2024 season, which should greatly help the team. The teams over under is 7.5 wins, and given the schedule, along with an improved coach and front office, this total is certainly achieveable. The team was scheduled for 2 primetime games last season, and was flexed out of 1 against the Eagles in week 9. It will be interesting to see if the league gifts a thursday night game, potentially following the tradition of playing the Titans on TNF.
